Classes Kindergarten, Grade 3 and Grade 6 from St. Mary’s School worked together during the school year to collect recycled milk jugs so they could donate them to the SPCA. They were about to raise over $160.00 in recycled milk jugs! The money was donated into the COPP fund at the SPCA to help spay and neuter our animals. Please take pleasure in the knowledge that your contribution has helped many animals within our shelter. Without your help, we would not be here. Thank you!

On October 28, 2010 Teepee Creek School held a fundraiser at their Halloween Carnival to help raise money for the GPSPCA. The school successfully raised $192.00 in the carnival which was donated to our COPP (Control Our Pet Population) Fund. This is a new fund at the Grande Prairie & District SPCA which has been derived from our need to spay and neuter all adopted pets prior to their adoption. Now that the fund is in place, we are collecting donations to go into the fund and establish a spay and neuter program for all animals who are placed into homes through the GPSPCA. The school presented our Public Education Coordinator with a cheque of the proceeds from the Carnival and were also introduced to a resident of the shelter named Scooby Doo.
