HELP > VOLUNTEER
Volunteer

The Grande Prairie & District SPCA is currently seeking Volunteers to help fill some of the support positions at the shelter. As a not-for-profit organization we find ourselves looking to Volunteers as an IMPORTANT part of the successful operation of our facility and programs.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of the animals in our care, we NEED and WANT your help. Whether you are comfortable around animals or not, we have a job for you. May you volunteer weekly or only once or twice a year, we appreciate whatever spare time you are able to commit!

Volunteering is great for people of all ages. It is an excellent opportunity to get work experience, socialize and meet new people while helping a worth while organization. May you be a college student, stay at home mom, semi-retired or retired person who wants to get out and about for a few hours a week, we need your expertise and your help.

INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH ANIMALS?

The easiest way to start volunteering is to help us in our Animal Enrichment Programs. We always need volunteers to help us ensure our canines and felines are getting the attention, excercise and love they need as guests at our shelter.

Whether you prefer to walk dogs or cuddle with our cats we need your help. To volunteer with us please fill out our online volunteer application and register for one of our next Volunteer Orientations where you will learn more about Grande Prairie & District SPCA and where the best fit is for you to volunteer.

Family Group Volunteer Application - Parents with children 14 and under

Volunteerism is an important learning experience for youth and we believe there is a place for families with children under 14 to volunteer with Grande Prairie & District SPCA. But because we have limited resources we do require a parent or guardian to volunteer alongside their youth to provide guidance and supervision.

To apply as a Family Group to volunteer with us please follow this link to complete your Volunteer Application Form
